Position Summary

Position Summary:
Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.

Job Requirement

Education/Experience:
Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in related field.

Licensing/Certification Requirements:
None required.

Additional Position Requirements

Applicants must also meet the following additional requirements:
1. An active NV Medical License
2. Active credentialing through UMC Medical Staff Services
3. Current UMC employee or contractor
4. Success in leading physician-related projects through implementation
5. Knowledge of standing up an ECLS and other physicain related programs

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Physical Requirements

Knowledge of:
Job planning, prioritization and scheduling techniques; business management principles involved in strategic planning, risk-based planning, leadership, and managing resources; operational capabilities of various environments; department and hospital safety practice and procedures; patient rights; age specific patient care practices; infection control policies and practices; handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures.
Skill in:
Planning, directing and coordinating the activities of multiple work teams; developing and implementing goals and objectives; analyzing complex requirements and procedures; preparing clear and concise reports; working independently, prioritize workload and handle a variety of multiple and overlapping projects and functions within set deadlines; using computers and related software applications; communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment, stamina to remain seated and maintain concentration for an extended period of time, vision to read printed materials and a VDT screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or an eligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
