Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Operating Room Technician or Surgical Technician to fill a Relief vacancy. You will join our dynamic team of professionals committed to the mission of our safety net hospital to: "partner with our community to maximize health outcomes for those who face challenges accessing high value, comprehensive medical care due to the traditional health care system's inability to meet their needs based on social, cultural, and economic factors."

Working side-by-side with surgeons and nurses, major surgical areas are represented, including orthopedics, general, gynecology, peripheral cardiovascular, renal, ophthalmology, plastic and neurosurgery. The service has a focus on providing for both Ambulatory and In-patient procedures. The team also rotates on-call responsibilities to support after hour cases from the Emergency Department.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited school of operating room or surgical technology, although 1-2 years of experience in an acute care operating room is preferred, new graduates will be considered.

A typical way to qualify is:
Completion of an approved training program in the duties of an Operating Room Technician.
