WHAT WE OFFER
THE POSITION
Under general supervision, provides administrative support for the lifecycle of Revenue and Tenant Leases, including processing billing, recording payments, and maintaining accurate financial records for rental and Common Area Maintenance (CAM) charges; performs data entry, updates databases, assists with reconciliations, supports collection efforts and prepares routine financial and statistical reports; assists with maintaining forms, preparing permits, real property acquisition documents, and various reports and correspondence; reviews and coordinates board letters, supports special projects; and performs other related duties as required.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
The Administrative Assistant (AA) classifications are characterized by their responsibility to departmental management for the provision of a variety of staff administrative services. They differ from the Administrative Officer classifications in that they are primarily staff in nature. The functional difference between the levels of the Administrative Assistant classifications relate to the complexity of the staff work regularly assigned and the size of the agency/department.

APPROXIMATE SALARIES
Administrative Assistant I: $27.12 - $37.93/hourly
Administrative Assistant II: $29.81 - $41.81/hourly

These are entrance requirements to the examination process and assure neither continuance in the process nor placement on an eligible list.

EDUCATION, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE
Some education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities. This may be obtained by completion of a n Associate Degree in business administration, real estate, public administration or a related field AND one (1) year (AA I) or two (2) years (AA II) of experience supporting public-sector real estate services and leasing administration. Additional related experience can be substituted for the education on a year for year basis. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
Knowledge of: principles and techniques of real estate services and leasing administration for public sector entities; principles and techniques of administrative and fiscal analysis; basic mathematics, fiscal and record keeping; modern office methods and procedures including business correspondence, tracking and filing; office equipment such as computers, copiers, printers, telephones; job-related software and web-based programs; and laws, legal codes, governmental regulations applicable to real estate for public entities.

Ability to: understand, apply and interpret concepts, techniques, rules, statutes, policies, etc. relating to real estate services and leasing; effectively utilize job-related software, various databases and resources; and effectively operate a variety of office equipment; prepare a variety of clear and concise reports and correspondence; organize and prioritize work assignments; establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of employees and the general public; and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

WRITTEN EXAMINATION - 100%: An un-proctored, on-line, internet-based job-related written examination will be administered to test candidates' knowledge of English Usage, Reading Comprehension, Customer Service, Clerical Methods and Practices, and Mathematics for successful performance on the job. Examinees must earn a score of seventy percent (70%) or higher to qualify for placement on the eligible list.

ELIGIBLE LIST:
Candidates successfully completing the examination process may be placed on an eligible list for a period of one (1) year. The eligible list established from this recruitment may be used to fill present and future Regular (including Temporary, and Fixed-term), Extra Help and Intermittent vacancies for these positions (or similar positions) only. There is currently one (1) Regular vacancy.

Note: If appointed at the lower level, incumbents may be promoted to the higher level without further examination upon meeting the minimum requirements, demonstrating satisfactory performance, and in accordance with business needs of the department.
