Position/Program Information

The County of Los Angeles Aging and Disabilities Department is seeking a Chief Deputy Director. The Chief Deputy will assist the Director in overseeing policy and programmatic operations of the Aging & Disabilities Department. This includes directing employees, programs, commission support, and services supporting administration of Aging and Older Adult Services in accordance with Federal, State, and County legislation and provisions. The Chief Deputy provides direction and technical leadership to staff and promotes a collaborative approach that includes outreach to a variety of communities in the County.

As the operations executive, the Chief Deputy builds on existing efforts and programs to strengthen Los Angeles County’s aging and disability services system, expand equitable access to supports, and improve outcomes for the diverse populations served. The Chief Deputy plays a critical role in advancing the Department’s mission to ensure older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their families can live safe, healthy, and self-determined lives in their communities.
