Part-time position available with the Aviation Department - Fleet Maintenance Division Location: 125 Paris St
Pay: $16.12-$24.58 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00a.m.-4:00p.m. with part-time hours

What you'll do
- Performs preventative maintenance and light repairs on equipment as assigned to keep vehicles and equipment operating safely and reliably.
- Inspects equipment by learning points of routine concern and operating safety to identify potential issues before they become failures.
- Learns the functions of and identify major components involved in the operation and safety of motor equipment to build mechanical knowledge.
- Assists with heavier repairs as requested by a Senior Fleet Technician or supervisor to gain experience with advanced maintenance tasks.
- Learns and demonstrate shop safety operating practices, perform various functions of tire repair and maintenance using shop equipment, techniques, and safety requirements, maintain an organized and clean work area, keep assigned tools functional and accounted for, report discrepancies or losses immediately, and perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
REQUIRES - Ability to speak, read and write English
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a physical examination, preemployment drug screen, and background check as prescribed by the City
- Ability to pass a 10-year TSA Background Check
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
