San Bernardino County Museum is looking for a dynamic
Marketing Specialist to amplify our presence, connect with diverse audiences, and help share our incredible stories through innovative marketing strategies. In this role, you will be at the forefront of shaping how the Museum communicates and connects with the public across multiple platforms-bringing exhibits and events to life through compelling design, content, and outreach.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead media relations efforts to boost the Museum’s public profile and community engagement.
- Develop and manage vibrant social media campaigns that captivate and grow our audience.
- Create, edit, and design eye-catching brochures, flyers, posters, advertisements, and other marketing materials.
- Collaborate closely with Museum staff to develop and update website content and social media channels.
- Manage marketing projects and campaigns from concept through execution, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Maintain an organized calendar for press releases, newsletters, and other communications.
- Oversee the design and editing of exhibition didactic materials and labels to enhance visitor experience.
- Coordinate with print vendors to ensure timely and high-quality production of all printed collateral.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT The San Bernardino County Museum is located in Redlands, and was founded in 1952. The San Bernardino County Museum contains exhibits and collections in cultural history and natural history. As part of the museum experience, there are public programs available for adults, families, students, and children. Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required and employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation.
Work Schedule: Will be required to work some evenings and weekends as necessary.

Minimum Requirements Education: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college level coursework from an accredited college/university in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Art Education, Arts Management, or Museum Studies or closely related field.
Note: A list of coursework or transcripts must be submitted with the application, if the applicant does not possess at least an Associate degree in one of the fields listed above; unofficial legible copies of transcripts are acceptable.
-AND-Experience: Two (2) years of full-time experience developing and executing marketing strategies OR creating print-ready graphic design and promotional materials
Desired QualificationsThe
ideal candidate will have professional experience working in a museum, cultural arts institution, nonprofit organization, or a related mission-driven setting. Experience in educational or STEM-focused environments is also highly valued.
