ABOUT THE POSITION

The Clark County Assessor's Office is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Computer Aided Mass Appraisal Modeler position. This position develops, tests and verifies complex statistical models used to assist in establishing taxable values in Clark County annually. The ideal candidate should have education and experience in specification and calibration of models, experience using current modeling software and have a strong knowledge of advanced statistical measures. This position will be a part of the Assessor's Office, Appraisal Division.

This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, AND four (4) years of full-time professional level experience in assessment, statistics or a directly related field. Professional level experience that has provided the skills and knowledge necessary to perform all job functions at this level may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis up to two (2) years. Must have computer skills to develop/administer assessment models. Experience in a public agency setting and project or programmatic lead experience is desirable.

Licensing and Certification: Specified positions may be required to possess a valid Nevada Class C driver’s license at time of appointment.

Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.
