Description

As the Training Officer, you will provide leadership and strategic direction for the Department's employee training and development programs. Working under the direction of the Training and Support Services Branch Chief, you will supervise a team responsible for creating and delivering engaging training programs, maintaining employee learning records, evaluating training effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with departmental training requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor professional staff within the OAS Training Unit.
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate department-wide training initiatives.
• Manage the Department's Learning Management System (LMS) and employee training records.
• Develop and maintain training policies, procedures, manuals, and instructional materials.
• Coordinate and administer training-related contracts and vendor services.
• Deliver instructor-led and virtual training sessions and presentations.
• Collaborate with executives, managers, and stakeholders to assess organizational training needs.
• Analyze training metrics and recommend process improvements.
• Support workforce planning and employee development initiatives throughout the Department.

Salary:

Salary Range: $7,172 – $8,910
