This is an excellent opportunity to join us in the position ofSenior Information Systems AnalystfortheApplications team. This positionsupervises 2 to 3 analysts to meet organizational goals,participatesin the Business RelationshipManagement(BRM) team, andtakes the lead on several key products.
This positionoperatesunder the direction of the Information Systems Team Manager and leverages both technicalexpertiseand leadership skills to advance the County’s vision of delivering excellent service. The role supports and guides the Applications Team while developing, implementing, and overseeing training and support programs designed to improve employeeproficiencywith technology systems. In addition, this position may serve in a project management capacity to support key Information Systems initiatives.
This positionisintegrated into the leadership team of the IS department,participatingin direction-setting and strategic visioning,identifyingquality issues, and recommending resolutions. There will be strong interaction with thedepartmentto review feedback from various teams and to developobjectivesand goals that enhance ourcustomers’experience.Key attributes of the leadership expectations include adopting a “servant leadership” attitude anddemonstratingstrongalignment to our core values.
Qualified candidatesgenerally haveexperience in these primary areas:
- Staff Supervisionand Leadership
- IT Service Management (ITIL)
- Programadministration
- Project Management
The ideal TeamMemberis well-rounded,possessingstrong customer serviceand team leadershipexperience,project managementcapability,and program administration skills. Training will be providedfor specific technologies, so prior experience is not as important as a willingness to grow and learn. Strong verbal and written communication skills area must.

Education and Experience RequiredBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in computer science, information technology, business administration, geographic information systems, geography, or a closely related field with an emphasis on information systems and three years of experience working at a level comparable to a Nevada County Information Systems Analyst II or Geographic Systems Analyst II.
Additional experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis for up to two years.
