Description

The San Mateo Medical Center is looking for experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) under the Skilled Nursing Care Unit to perform a full range of bedside care nursing, and other services required to care for patients located in an acute care hospital.

CNAs work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and/or licensed vocational nurse. The current vacancies are three part-time, extra-help vacancies.



Ideal candidates will possess the following:


This position requires possession of a valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate issued by the State of California. This position also requires a valid Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or a valid Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate issued by the American Red Cross.



NOTE: This is an extra-help, at-will assignment, paid on an hourly basis. Extra-help hours are dependent on the business needs of the department and therefore work hours may vary from week to week. Extra help employees shall not exceed 1,040 hours of work per fiscal year. Some extra help positions are eligible for benefits under the Affordable Care Act. Extra help employees are not guaranteed permanent status at the end of the assignment.
