Whether you’re helping kids with homework, leading a game, supervising the front desk, supporting after school programming or lending a hand with cleanup, you’ll be a key part of what makes our parks and recreation centers feel like home.
In this role, you’ll assist the Kid Zone and broader recreation team in running programs that serve youth and families. You might help run after-school or summer activities, support athletic programming, or just be that friendly face that makes participants feel seen and supported. You’ll also pitch in to keep the facility and outdoor spaces clean and welcoming.
Some days will be high-energy and active; others might be more relaxed and reflective. But every day will matter because you’ll be helping build a stronger, healthier community, one connection at a time.
This position is a part-time role with no guarantee of hours. Flexibility is required as you may work standard business hours, evenings, and weekends depending on the needs of the center.

Minimum Requirements :
Currently attending high school, graduation from an high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma and some knowledge or experience in an organized educational, recreation or leisure services field working in various activities such as senior enrichment, educational programs, youth sports, aquatics, cultural and therapeutic arts, health and fitness, community centers, etc
preferred ; or an equivalent combination of related training and experience. Applicant
must possess a valid Florida driver’s license or state ID. First Aid/CPR certification preferred. Certification by the Florida Recreation and Park Association desired, but not required.
THIS IS A PART_TIME_POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED. If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
Salary:
USD 15.00 - 16.00 per hour
