Job DescriptionProgram Supervisor II This position performs moderately complex (journey-level) review and initiates actions on agent licensing filings. Work involves coordinating the receipt of, reviewing, analyzing, and tracking agent licensing filings; ensuring compliance with applicable policies, rules and statutes; communicating detailed licensing information with program staff and internal and external customers, including researching rules and regulations as needed. Trains program employees and may supervise the work of employees as needed while assisting section manager as backup in general day to day operations. Requires ability to obtain DPS secure site access. Works under general supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Job DutiesThis position: - Process license application filings, review the filings to determine compliance with applicable policies, rules and statutes and maintain filings according to applicable policies and procedures.
- Provides administrative and technical assistance to assigned processors and others with complex reviews; effectively communicate to team members and external parties, both verbally and in writing, licensing requirements and procedures.
- Train and develop assigned employees and others within the program when new processes or procedures are implemented as directed by the Applications Manager.
- Assist Applications Manager with day-to-day management of personnel to achieve performance goals and interface with other program Team Leads and/or Managers to resolve licensure issues.
- Cross trains and provides back up support for other areas within AAL.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsThis position requires:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to the assignment is preferred. Plus, two years of experience related to position.
- Education and experience relevant to position requirements may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.
- Regular work attendance.
- Travel may be required for up to 5% of the time. If travel is 10% or over, you must maintain a state of Texas Driver's License.

Employees must have a secure, dedicated workspace with Internet service, ability to maintain a reliable consistent work schedule, and be available for weekly meetings and group collaboration via Microsoft Teams and other applications during regular business hours.

Preferred QualificationsPreferences for this position include: - General knowledge of Agent and Adjuster Licensing's processes and procedures.
Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesThis position requires demonstrated knowledge of: - State laws, rules and statues including the Texas Insurance Code and Texas and Administrative Code, especially relating to Agent & Adjuster Licensing.
