Scottsdale Parks & Recreation is looking for enthusiastic, dedicated Recreation Leaders to join our world-class team providing simply better service across our beautiful parks, community centers, and sports facilities.

As a Recreation Leader II, you’ll help plan, lead, and supervise a variety of recreation and sports programs for youth and adults.

Schedules vary by facility and include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Some assignments may require a valid driver’s license.

Parks & Community Centers Assignment
Help create safe, friendly spaces where community members gather for recreation, learning, fitness, and social activities. Staff provide customer service, facility upkeep, and on-site supervision at Chaparral, Mountain View, and Horizon Parks.

Adult Sports Assignment
Support year-round leagues, tournaments, and events. Staff provide site supervision, scorekeeping, and officiating that helps adults stay active, connected, and engaged.

Sports Field Reservation Office Assignment
Assist with coordinating field and facility bookings for leagues, tournaments, community groups, and public users. Staff provide customer service, handle scheduling and administrative tasks, and support smooth facility operations.

Club SAR Fitness Center Assignment
Be part of a high-energy fitness environment. Staff deliver great customer service, maintain a clean and welcoming space, and help guests with classes, equipment, and amenities.

Scottsdale Sports Complex Assignment
Support daily park use, training sessions, and major tournaments at Scottsdale Sports Complex, Bell94, and Reata. Staff assist with set-up, break-down, customer service, light maintenance, and tournament operations.

Indian School Park and Scottsdale Ranch Park Sports Complexes Assignments

Play a key role at one of the two most active, community-focused sports hubs in Scottsdale. Staff help support tennis, pickleball, and sand volleyball operations; assist with programs, tournaments, and community events; maintain clean, welcoming facilities; and provide friendly, helpful service to all players and visitors.

Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $25.46
