Under the direction of the Administrative Services Associate, the Administrative Services Technician (AST) will be responsible for completing and processing a wide variety of technical and complex documents related to the work of the department, such as accounts payable, applications or requests for goods, trades, services, and construction, administration support and bank reconciliation. This AST uses variety of standard office equipment, including a computer and various spreadsheet, word processing and specialty software’s. They will ensure that documents are complete, accurate and in compliance with program and departmental policies and procedures. They will prepare a variety of statistical, fiscal, narrative, and other reports, utilizing data from a variety of sources which requires compilation and summarization.

ABOUT YOU

The Highly Qualified Candidate for this assignment can work collaboratively with team members, department staff and members of the public, is self-directed, and demonstrates excellent judgment and decision-making skills. They are a self-starter who can organize their own work and meet critical deadlines. They have demonstrated experience monitoring relatively complex budgets with multiple funding streams and preparing a variety of accounting related documents such as invoices, accounts receivable for multiple clients, and purchase orders. They have experience working in MUNIS or a similar financial system and has strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Microsoft 365 (including Excel, Outlook and Word). Prior experience working in a public agency is a plus.
