$21.00 - $23.19 Hourly

About the Opportunity:

The City of Irvine is seeking a customer services professional with office experience and a passion for serving older adults to assist. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming environment, providing exceptional customer service through telephone and in-person reception, assisting with program registration and information, and maintaining an organized and efficient front desk at the Senior Center. This position is part-time with schedule requirements of up to 19 hours per week.

Your Impact:

• Manage front desk operations in a busy community center environment.

• Welcome customers, program participants, and visitors by providing exceptional customer service in person, over the phone, and via email.

• Assist the public by providing information about classes, program registration, services for older adults, facility amenities, and transportation resources.

• Process program registrations, maintain participant rosters, and conduct reminder calls to support program operations.

• Compile survey responses, track participation data, and prepare program statistics.

• Perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties, including date entry, fee collection, record management, document preparation, copying, filing, and maintaining paper and electronic files.

• Assist with room set-up by arranging tables, chairs, and audiovisual equipment, and support facility reservations and special events as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of high school and one year of experience in a front office/customer service setting, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. Associate degree or some college education is desirable.

• Ability to push, pull, lift, or carry equipment/supplies (weighing up to 50 lbs.), and lean, stoop, twist, and bend in the performance of job duties.
