Overview: Manage daily membership operations, assist promotions department, produce on air shows and miscellaneous production duties and responsibilities. Assists promotions department with graphics creation as needed. Hosts on-air shows as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned): Membership: Under the direction of station leadership, including the Membership Director, participate with the planning, execution, & fulfillment of pledge drives. Is involved in setting dates on the annual calendar. This includes activities including, but not limited to, managing gifts and/or premiums. Receiving pledges (interact with donors) during pledge drives, managing the staffing of the phone bank room, building auction software & graphics, writing copy and other duties assigned.
This position is the #2 in command during a pledge drive. During a formal Pledge Drive, at all times, either the DOM, Membership Director or Assistant Coordinator must be on site in the office to be in charge of the fundraising event.
Promotions: Under the direction of station leadership, including the Promotions Director, assist in execution of all station events, internally and externally. This could include creating graphics for social media, website, audio, radio station promotional items, advertisements or other duties assigned. Set up at various station events. Assist in miscellaneous promotional projects either within the office or remotely. Making appearances at station events may be needed. This could include tabling, being on the mic on stage, introducing bands, and general hosting the event.
Tech support: Will be familiar with the fundamental workings of the website, weekly e-mail newsletter, and donation page workings. Will be able to assist with execution of tasks and maintenance associated with these tools, including but not limited to graphics, design and implementation. Responsible for posting paid and promotional web banners on the website via direction from underwriting and promotions directors.
Programming: At KCSN-FM, often we need more voices to get all the work done. This position will be able to fill in on-air shifts when needed and do audio production for spots and imaging or other duties assigned. As needed, the host will curate and
announce radio shows by selecting appropriate music / songs as directed by the program director. Content creation opportunities will occasionally be in your purview. Serve as backup for On Air DJs.
Other misc. station duties assigned
Qualifications: High School education required.
A minimum of 2+ years working in a radio station or similar media platform.
Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities: Has a working knowledge of Microsoft office products: Word, Excel, Power Point.
Has a working knowledge of social media: including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Threads, TikTok and other social media platforms.
Knowledge of the AAA radio format and the music programmed
Ability to operate traditional broadcast equipment
Knowledgeable in Google Ad Manager and Mailchimp
