Summary

Job TitleAs a condition of employment all employees must pass a post offer criminal history background check, physical examination and drug screen. All employees must also submit proof of identity and employment eligibility.Job DescriptionResponsible for liaison duties between the local Municipal Courts and the Wyandotte County Adult Detention Center to include: Ensure jail inmates are transported to appear in Municipal Court as scheduled. Attend all Municipal Court sessions. Case disposition data entry in BluHorse. Monitor and report compliance with court orders and commitment orders. Coordinate with shift commanders and Court Clerk personnel as needed on docket and paperwork needs. Monitor inmate housing location and upcoming court dates. Monitor for warrants issued after the booking date and cases not booked in on. Ensure ticket court dates are entered into BluHorse. Maintain monthly statistics and reports on jail and court activities.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED and considerable experience in detention, correctional and technical clerical work including supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the duties of the jobs such as those listed above. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Zoom and Skype. Familiarity with BluHorse is preferred. Knowledge of detention center rules, practices, the hazards and safety practices inherent to working in a secured facility, court and probation procedures, and correctional principals and methods.
