Description:
Position Summary: Must have at least one year of Public Safety exp.
Assists in establishing and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all employees, physicians, patients, visitors, and property at St. Mary's Health Care System.
Position Requirements:
A. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
B. Licensure/Certification:
• Current State of Georgia driver's license with a satisfactory driving record (no more than six Trinity Health unsafe driving points within a 24-month period).
• Must obtain certifications in:
▪ American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR)* ▪ International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security
- ▪ Defensive Tactics** ▪ ASP Tactical Baton** ▪ Taser** ▪ *Certification required within one year of employment.
▪ **Annual recertification required.
C. Experience:
• Minimum of three years of security, police, or military experience preferred. • Healthcare security experience is a plus.
D. Special Qualifications : • Professional appearance, language, and attitude required. • Must be mentally alert, socially responsive, intellectually honest, and morally sound. • Diplomatic and tactful demeanor essential in delicate situations
