Pay Starting at: $20.88 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

What You'll Do:
- Coordinate departmental onboarding activities, ensuring new employees have a positive and productive start.
- Prepare and distribute onboarding materials and resources.
- Establish and maintain personnel and departmental records in accordance with organizational policies.
- Support training and development initiatives by scheduling, tracking participation, and maintaining training records.
- Provide administrative support for departmental operations, meetings, and employee-related processes.
- Manage departmental calendars, including training sessions, meetings, events, and other key activities.
- Provide backup administrative support for the Director's office as needed.
- Prepare routine correspondence, reports, presentations, meeting materials, and other departmental communications.
- Maintain departmental records, files, and archives in accordance with records retention requirements.
- Coordinate document retention and archiving activities to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Coordinate departmental travel arrangements and reimbursements.
- Manage departmental equipment inventory, parking passes, and related resources.
- Order and maintain office supplies and equipment for designated departments or work groups.
- Greet, assist, and direct visitors.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of departmental systems, processes, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain and update departmental forms, intranet pages, websites, and other administrative resources.
- Provide first-level support and troubleshooting for routine administrative technology issues.
- Respond to employee inquiries and connect employees with appropriate resources.
- Serve as a point of contact for departmental administrative requests.
Qualifications
REQUIRES: - an accredited Bachelor's degree
- OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience to include professional experience in the development and/or operation of administrative systems, programs, policies and practice.
- Preference given to candidates with experience in Employment lifecycle knowledge, benefits experience, payroll experience.

Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained. Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
