Summary
Dispatch & Operations
Coordinate and assign delivery routes to drivers efficiently and accurately
Monitor active deliveries, driver status, and route progress in real time
Ensure all orders are accepted, staged, and dispatched in accordance with company SOPs
Communicate delays, issues, or changes to drivers and management immediately
Verify all delivery documentation is complete before dispatch (IDs, manifests, receipts)
Compliance & Accuracy
Ensure all deliveries comply with California DCC regulations and company policies
Verify customer information, order details, and delivery eligibility prior to dispatch
Maintain accurate delivery logs, timestamps, and driver records
Report any discrepancies, incidents, or compliance concerns to management promptly
Driver Support & Accountability
Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers during shifts
Ensure drivers follow all safety, vehicle, and security protocols
Confirm vehicle inspections, lockbox procedures, and end-of-shift checklists are completed
Track driver attendance, punctuality, and communication
Customer Service & Communication
Assist with delivery-related customer inquiries or issues when needed
Maintain professional, calm, and solution-focused communication at all times
Coordinate with sales floor and management to resolve order or payment issues
Administrative Duties
Assist with end-of-shift reconciliation and reporting
Support audits, reviews, and operational improvements as directed
Maintain organized dispatch records and reports
Qualifications
Required
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Previous dispatch, logistics, or coordination experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-volume or high-pressure situations
- Basic computer skills and comfort using POS, delivery, or routing systems
- Ability to stand, sit, and work in an office/dispatch environment for extended periods
Preferred
- Experience in a regulated industry (cannabis, transportation, logistics, or security)
- Familiarity with cannabis delivery compliance and procedures
- Leadership or supervisory experience
