DescriptionThis position’s principal function is to perform professional investigative work during rotating shifts, 7 days a week to provide quality and timely information to the criminal courts, which supports the judicial decision to release or detain defendants pending trial and to prescreen for indigence.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $21.66 - $24.52

Duties and Responsibilities
Pretrial Analyst reviews defendants’ rights, obtains and verify defendants’ information, gathers and analyzes data, and produces a quality summary report to be provided to judges for use in their pretrial release or detention decisions. The Pretrial Analyst may be designated to report to work during hazardous weather or emergency conditions
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum Qualification:Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) or more years of Criminal Justice, Case Management or Investigative experience OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Requires STRONG Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to create and format spreadsheets, organize data using sorting and filtering tools, use basic formulas, and perform essential data management tasks. Must be proficient in additional Microsoft Office software and various other software programs and databases.
Must be able to obtain and maintain NCIC security clearance. Must be able to obtain NAPSA Pretrial Professional certification within 1 year of employment. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Requirements: A qualified applicant must (1) be a Citizen of the United States and over 21 years of age; (2) have a Four-year college degree; (3) have a valid South Carolina driver’s license or the ability to obtain one upon acceptance of the position; (4) ability to obtain NCIC inquiry certification. Applicants meeting these minimum criteria must submit to and successfully complete all phases of the hiring process to be considered for employment .
