Participate in routine groundskeeping activities, including operating mowing equipment to maintain safe, clean, and attractive outdoor spaces.
Trim shrubs and operate chain saws and hand saws to cut tree branches and limbs, helping preserve the health and appearance of City properties.
Water and care for grass, plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to support healthy landscapes and community environments.
Participate in the collection of refuse by picking up, carrying, and emptying refuse receptacles into a truck or carrying bag; pick up debris and other materials and place them in a truck; operate loading mechanisms to help keep public areas clean and sanitary.
Participate in snow removal activities to support safe access to City facilities, streets, and public spaces during winter weather.
Perform semi-skilled manual activities in the accomplishment of assigned tasks and perform related duties as required to support daily operations.
Qualifications
REQUIRES
High school graduation OR 6 months of experience in general labor.
May be required to possess a valid state-issued driver's license in accordance with City of KCMO policies.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.
