Pay Range: $52.34/hr. - $68.04/hr. | $108,870 - $141,530 annual compensation

Workdays & Hours: FLSA Exempt position. Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm; some evening/weekend work required. Hybrid on-site work model available with supervisory approval; staff are required to be on-site at least 2 days per week.

An IT Solutions Architect position is available with the City of Fort Worth IT Solutions' Public Safety division. This Architect position will have strategic, architectural, and cross departmental decision authority, serving as the technical gatekeeper for public safety systems. This ensures that the complex, expanding, and mission critical environment of Fort Worth's emergency services is supported by sound, forward thinking technology decisions.

Specifically, this position serves as the technical architect for Fort Worth's public safety systems, providing strategic direction and designing enterprise-wide solutions for CAD, RMS, EMS integrations, and related mission-critical technologies. It establishes and governs architecture standards, ensures system interoperability and resilience, and leads cross-departmental coordination to align technology with operational needs. The role also evaluates emerging technologies, manages vendor integrations, and acts as the technical gatekeeper to support modernization and continuity across all public safety platforms.

Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Background Check

Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class.
