The court systememploys nearly 3,300 personnel who support 406 elected justices, judges, and circuit court clerks.The Office of Statewide Programs, Department of Family and Juvenile Services have an opening for 9 (NINE)Court Designated Worker- SHIFT positions. The positions will be statewide other than the following counties:Crittenden, Hickman, Lewis, Mason. Morgan, Perry, Rockcastle, Rowan, Russell, Taylor, Trimble or Woodford.These are SHIFT positions, the positions will be assigned to a second, third, weekend, or rotating shift.The Court Designated Worker-SHIFT provides intake, assessment, diversion, referral, and case managementservices for youth and families involved in Kentucky's juvenile justice system. Working collaboratively withcourts, schools, law enforcement, and community partners, the CDW assesses complaints, identifies appropriateinterventions, connects families with resources, and monitors compliance with diversion agreements. Thisposition promotes early intervention, family engagement, and community-based solutions to improve outcomes foryouth while reducing unnecessary court involvement.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for processing all juvenile intakes, including entering new referrals and generating complaints.Conduct interviews and complete risk and needs screening.Determine eligibility for diversion and develop appropriate intervention strategies.Develop diversion agreements and monitor compliance with program requirements.Provide case management services and coordinate referrals to community resources and treatment providers.Maintain accurate case records and documentation in accordance with statutes, policies, and procedures.Prepare reports, recommendations, and other required court documents.Communicate and collaborate with courts, schools, law enforcement, service providers, and families.Respond to inquiries and provide information regarding juvenile justice processes and available services.Participate in on-call coverage.Travel within the assigned service area and occasionally statewide to conduct meetings, attend courtproceedings, participate in trainings, and support program operations.Support early intervention efforts designed to reduce juvenile court involvement and improve outcomes foryouth and families.Attend required training and maintain knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and best practices.Promote positive relationships with youth, families, and community partners while maintaining professionalismand confidentiality.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION: Associate degree in a job-related field, such as human services, criminal justice, psychology,sociology, or a related field.EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: One (1) year of job-related experience, to include working with youth and families, humanservices, criminal justice, and, or, the juvenile justice system.Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONESubstitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Two (2) additional years of job-related work experience may substitute forthe associate degree.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONEWorking ConditionsWork is primarily performed in an office or similar indoor environment.Must have driver's license and dependable transportation.Occasionally requires working with family situations involving heightened conflict, instability and potentialvolatility.Ability to travel throughout the assigned region and across the Commonwealth of Kentucky to attend meetings,trainings, conferences, court proceedings, and other program-related activities.Due to the nature of the job duties and responsibilities, this position is not authorized for virtual work.If you have questions about this advertisement, please contact Nadalie Hardwick at [email protected] Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D#J-18808-Ljbffr
