Business Process Improvement Analyst
Position Description: CGI Federal is seeking candidates for Business Process Improvement Analyst positions supporting a USG agency in Northern Virginia. Successful candidates will support technical programs and project efforts, project requirements oversight, requirements development and compressive, detail-oriented project management to optimize performance and comply with industry, Federal, Intelligence Community (IC) and the USG agency's specific standards. This position is located in Chantilly, VA.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Sustain a Program Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) repository using Greenlight and JIRA to inform the improvement and standardization of cybersecurity and ISSE lifecycle processes by aligning them with NIST, RMF, IC, DoD and the agency's unique requirements ensuring technology teams follow repeatable, well documented workflows that enhance consistency, reduce rework and strengthen accreditation readiness.
- Enhance organizational risk and vulnerability management procedures by developing streamlined methods for identifying, tracking and remediating risks, optimizing reporting mechanisms and implementing business rules that increase remediation efficiency and clarity across divisions.
- Refine Security architecture and design review processes to ensure technical solutions are evaluated through consistent, business focused security criteria enabling faster decision cycles, more efficient solution design and improved compliance with the agency's standards.
- Strengthen compliance, technical documentation and RMF/ATO support by developing standardized templates, documentation workflows and review processes that reduce administrative burden and improve accuracy, transparency and auditability of cybersecurity artifacts.
- Improve collaboration mechanisms across engineering, DevOps, program management and stakeholder groups by creating structured communication channels, feedback loops and cross functional engagement processes that align security activities with operational Al mission needs.
- Mature threat analysis, response and continuous monitoring functions through the development of repeatable assessment procedures, standardized reporting formats and resilience focused business processes that reduce service disruptions and enhance organizational readiness.
- Work closely with program/project management colleagues to create and execute a cohesive team-driven approach to managing the agency's efforts.
- Establish and maintain structured liaison engagements with other components and relevant mission partners to share best practices, gather operational insights and identify process, technology and workflow improvement that strengthen product quality and accelerate enterprise-wide capability maturity.
- Conduct targeted research on organizational processes, technologies and operational practices and translate those findings into actionable improvements that enhance workflow efficiency, strengthen product quality and support enterprise-wide capability maturity.
- Some CONUS travel may be required
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- A Top Secret clearance with polygraph.
- Demonstrated experience performing all lifecycle assessment and authorization activities.
- Demonstrated experience translating mission user requirements to technical requirements and conveying how a technical solution will deliver mission results.
- Demonstrated experience prioritizing work based on mission need.
- Demonstrated experience working with application developers to identify and implement infrastructure and deployment requirements.
- Demonstrated technical and functional understanding of modern web and mobile application architectures and related components including but not limited to DNS, HTTP, TLS and TCP/IP to aid in the understanding of how information systems interoperate.
Compensation range: $79,600.00 - $172,400.00.
