PRINCIPAL TECHNICIAN - STAFF TECHNICIAN - Senior Emissions Bench Technician 03-01574 Who We Are: We support the Commercial Vehicle Systems Department by maintaining and repairing gaseous emissions equipment especially Horiba MEXA emissions benches. By joining our team, you will receive an additional $500 in your first paycheck, minus taxes. Objectives of this Role: Serve as lead technical resource for Horiba emissions bench maintenance and repair. Lead complex troubleshooting and calibration activities. Improve and standardize preventive maintenance procedures. Train and mentor technicians on diagnostics and repair best practices. Coordinate with project leaders to ensure equipment readiness. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Perform advanced troubleshooting, calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance of Horiba MEXA emissions benches and related instrumentation to ensure reliable system performance. Configure and customize emissions measurement systems to support project testing requirements and minimize downtime. Monitor equipment performance, maintain technical documentation and calibration records, and implement process improvements within established procedures. Provide hands-on technical guidance to technicians and coordinate with project leaders to ensure equipment readiness and timely issue resolution. Requirements: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Automotive Technology or related Associates degree field or certification in related field preferred. 10+ years: Experience with instrumentation, electronics, or equipment operation and troubleshooting. 3 years: We require at least 3 years of this experience to be spent on repair and troubleshooting of complex gaseous emissions instruments (Horiba MEXA emissions benches strongly preferred).
