Summary
St. Luke's is proud of the skills, experience and compassion of its employees. The employees of St. Luke's are our most valuable asset! Individually and together, our employees are dedicated to satisfying the mission of our organization which is an unwavering commitment to excellence as we care for the sick and injured; educate physicians, nurses and other health care providers; and improve access to care in the communities we serve, regardless of a patient's ability to pay for health care. St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Medical Oncologist interested in building a long-term, community-based practice at our Monroe Campus in the Poconos. This role is designed for a physician who values continuity of care, strong relationships with patients and referring providers, and a sustainable practice model—supported by a broad oncology network rather than practiced in isolation. A Message from Arturo Loaiza-Bonilla, MD, FACP Network Chief of Hematology and Oncology “At St. Luke’s, we are in the midst of a deliberate transformation of our Cancer Center and oncology service lines—integrating a unified network, advanced technology, and comprehensive multidisciplinary services to define the future of community cancer care. This opportunity at our Monroe Campus is an invitation to serve as a clinical cornerstone and local leader in that transformation: to build a modern, sustainable oncology practice rooted in relationships, supported by an integrated system, and designed for long-term impact—for patients, physicians, and the community alike.” The Practice: This is a true team-based oncology practice, not a solo model Strong APP support, allowing physicians to focus on complex decision-making and patient care Close collaboration with established medical oncologists across the St. Luke’s Cancer Network, enabling a balanced and sustainable shared call structure Comprehensive multidisciplinary support including oncology nurses, navigators, pharmacists, social workers, financial counselors, and research staff Fully integrated EPIC EMR, including Ambient AI documentation and clinical decision-support tools to meaningfully reduce clerical burden Professional Environment: Commission on Cancer (CoC)–accredited Cancer Center Optional involvement in teaching, clinical research, and quality initiatives Faculty appointment available at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, tailored to interest (no academic pressure) Who This Fits Well: A physician who enjoys community oncology but wants the backing of a large, integrated cancer program Someone looking for career longevity, work/life balance, and a supportive call structure Interest in teaching or trials is welcome but not required Commitment to practicing primarily at Monroe while remaining connected to a broader oncology network Compensation & Support: Competitive compensation with signing bonus and relocation assistance Comprehensive benefits, malpractice coverage, and generous CME support A practice intentionally structured to support long-term sustainability and physician well-being Please complete your application using your full legal name and current home address.
