Inspiring us to create warm and sophisticated experiences for those seeking a richer perspective on the world.Your day to day: As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will perform hotel security duties and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and the property as well as its assets.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform daily inspections and ensure compliance of hotel security and safety requirements and procedures to protect property, employees, and guests against theft, crime, threats, and safety hazards.Investigate loss and safety incidents involving guests, employees, and/or hotel property, comply with regulations and hotel procedures to prevent or minimize loss and address incidents such as theft, noise complaints, assault, food poisoning, intoxication, and other safety hazards.Assist in training employees on current safety and security issues to ensure compliance with company policies; inform management of hazardous situations, emergencies or threats; schedule preventative maintenance for security equipment.Record incident reports for police, fire agencies, legal, claims, insurance and outside attorneys as needed.Respond promptly to all guest‑related incidents, questions, complaints, and requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.Perform other duties as assigned, such as handling deliveries during non‑business hours.Patrol and inspect assigned areas, monitor surveillance cameras, check for unauthorized persons or vehicles, and coordinate towing, unlock doors, identify fire and safety hazards, document all actions.Maintain security procedures and audit logs for lost and found, key control, emergency procedures, health and safety hazard procedures for all employees and guests.Ensure all guest room doors are secured and assist guests with room access and moving or removing guest possessions if required.Escort staff and guests to cars when requested.Inspect employee bags or purses when designated by management and keep accurate employee time cards.What we need from you Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of security and safety experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.Physical ability to carry, lift, push, or pull items weighing up to 100 pounds and stand, move, bend, stoop, and kneel frequently.Strong communication, problem‑solving, reasoning, motivation, organization, and training skills.Knowledge of local laws, investigation methods, OSHA requirements, fire codes, and life safety codes.Certification as a Security Officer, Law Enforcement Officer, Certified CPR, First Aid instructor, or similar training highly desired.May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.What we offer The hourly pay rate for this role is $19.50 - $20.00.Benefits: paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), hotel discounts worldwide, and a variety of discount programs.
