Job Details Job Location: KT-Kingsport Corps - Kingsport, TN 37660Job Category: HousingSchedule/Hours: 12AM-8AM with some 4PM-12AM shiftsThis position is responsible for:Monitors the behavior and activities of clients participating in a Salvation Army emergency housing program; guards the security and safety of Salvation Army facilities and buildings to ensure compliance with shelter rules and policies and to protect the safety of staff and clients.Key Responsibilities Monitors client's behavior and activities to ensure compliance with program, and facility rules guidelines; directs clients in a trauma-informed way of the appropriate behavior in order to stay in the program/facility.Provides security for the building and grounds by being aware of activities happening in residential dormsPerforms intake for clients checking into the shelter, maintains an accurate record of the shelter intake bed list.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Ability to meet attendance requirements.Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (less than 25 - 50lbs,) materials, supplies, and equipment. Moderately mobility: duties are usually performed by a combination of standing, waking on a frequent change basis.Work is performed in a normal social service housing and office environment where there are moderate discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required, ANDsix months experience working with the public with experience work in a security or social service environment preferred ORAny equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Licenses and Certifications First Aid and C.P.R.
