Security Officer needed for Cultural Center - 77017

We are seeking a professional and experienced Security Officer to join our team at an upscale cultural center. The ideal candidate will provide a polished, welcoming presence while maintaining a high level of security for guests, staff, facilities, and valuable property.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the facility.

  • Monitor entrances, exits, public areas, galleries, event spaces, and restricted areas.

  • Assist guests and visitors with directions and general information while maintaining excellent customer service.

  • Conduct routine patrols and monitor security cameras and access-control systems.

  • Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.

  • Assist with crowd control and security during special events and performances.

  • Complete accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.

  • Enforce facility policies and security procedures with professionalism and discretion.

  • Communicate effectively with management, staff, visitors, vendors, and emergency personnel.

Qualifications

  • Previous security experience required.

  • Experience in a museum, cultural center, upscale commercial property, hotel, performing arts venue, or similar environment is preferred.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Strong observation skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

We are looking for someone who understands that security and hospitality go hand in hand . The successful candidate will be professional, courteous, alert, and committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who visits our cultural center.

SCHEDULE:

Saturday - 3pm-11pm

Sunday 3pm-11pm

Monday 11pm-7am

Tuesday OFF

Wednesday OFF

Thursday - 3pm-11pm

Friday - 3pm -11pm
