It has been the love of NASCAR racing and the thrill of a great time that has made it a favorite of race fans and drivers alike for more than 50 years. Michigan International Speedway has more than 12 campground and is the state of Michigan's largest registered campground. In addition to two great weekends of racing, the speedway is home to events throughout the year including the MIS Backyard Hockey Tournament, Faster Horses Festival and Nite Lites.SUMMARYMichigan International Speedwayishiring forGuest Services Event Staff Dispatcher. The Guest Services teamis responsible forinteracting with guests that visit the track andassistingthem as neededtoensure a positive experience. The Event Dispatcher responds to phone, text and radio requests and deploys event staff to assist guests with their needs. This is a part-time seasonal position andisevent-based. Shifts and hours will vary based on our event needs.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAnswer phones and text requests in a clear and professional manner.Follow radio protocols to communicate with other staff members.Stay calm in a fast-paced environment.Monitor and record deployments and questions.Use the available resources to find answers to questions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND/OR QUALIFICATIONSMinimum age is 18 years old.Strong communicationand customer service skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.Positive attitude, friendly and outgoing.You must follow dress code and have a clean, presentable appearanceat all times.Ability to work with others and takedirections.You must learn quickly and be trainable.Reliable transportation to and from the track location.Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle license inspection reportWe are a company unlike any other.
