Summary

Any applicant that passes the initial application screening may be on an accelerated hiring process timeline.Performs general law enforcement duties contributing to the prevention, suppression and detection of crime, protection of citizen's rights, welfare and property, and enforcement of ordinances and laws within the City of Waukesha and/or work with other law enforcement agencies and city departments.The City of Waukesha BoardThe Police and Fire Commission requires that Police Officers be certified by the State of Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board or have a minimum of 40 credits from an accredited university, college or technical school prior to the start of the recruit academy for non-certified applicants (60 college credits required for certified/certifiable applicants).Attendance/Completion of Police Recruit Academy is not a requirement to applyFurther, they require that Police Officers be U.S. citizens, be 20 years of age or older as of hire date, possess a valid Wisconsin Drivers License, and have no felony convictions.Ability to perform in psychologically adverse working conditionsConsiderab#J-18808-Ljbffr
