Summary

Loss Prevention Officer

The Loss Prevention Officer helps maintain a safe, secure, and compliant environment across the distribution center. This role protects company assets, supports safety initiatives, monitors facility access, and ensures compliance with Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) regulations. The Officer serves as a visible and proactive presence, partnering with employees, visitors, and leadership to reduce risk and support operational excellence.

Hourly Pay Range: $22 - $24/hour

Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday / 9:00pm - 5:30am

Security & Access Control

  • Monitor and verify inbound and outbound containers in accordance with FTZ regulations, including seal checks, appointment verification, and carrier identification.
  • Control access to all buildings by validating employee badges and visitor credentials.
  • Conduct exit inspections for employees and management as required.
  • Patrol assigned areas to deter theft, maintain security, and ensure policy adherence.

Incident Response & Reporting

  • Identify and report safety or security irregularities to the LP Supervisor/Manager.
  • Prepare detailed, accurate reports documenting observations, incidents, or unusual activities.
  • Inform violators of company policies and support corrective actions when necessary.

Safety & Compliance

  • Support compliance with company policies, including safety, FTZ, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Escalate safety concerns in alignment with the company's Safety Handbook.
  • Participate in training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Team & Operational Support

  • Contribute to department and cross-functional goals.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–3 years of security experience, preferably within a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
