Position Summary
The Part-Time Temporary CAC Support Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the County's Community Advisory Committees (CACs). This position assists with the coordination and day-to-day administrative needs associated with CAC activities, meetings, communications, documentation, and community engagement.
The position is intended to provide supplemental support to County staff and CAC members by assisting with routine administrative functions and ensuring that CAC-related activities are organized, timely, and effectively supported.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Community Advisory Committees (CACs) with meeting preparation and coordination, including posting agendas and public notices, compiling meeting materials, and ensuring materials are organized and available to committee members and the public.
- Attend CAC meetings to provide on-site administrative and logistical support, including room setup, preparation and distribution of meeting materials, and assistance with presentation materials and technology.
- Complete post-meeting administrative tasks, including updating CAC webpages, organizing and distributing follow-up information, and communicating relevant information and action items to County staff.
- Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date CAC records, webpages, meeting materials, and other program information.
- Coordinate with County staff and CAC members to ensure meeting-related information and materials are prepared and distributed in a timely manner.
- Provide additional administrative and logistical support for CAC activities, events, and community engagement efforts as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous administrative, customer service, community engagement, or office support experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with County staff, committee members, community members, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks with limited supervision.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar software.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and handle information appropriately.

- Knowledge of general office and administrative practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups.
- Ability to work professionally with members of the public and community organizations.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when appropriate.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on CAC meeting and program schedules.
Work Schedule
This is a part-time temporary position averaging approximately 4-12 hours per week. Actual hours may vary based on CAC meeting schedules, program activities, community events, and operational needs. Some work may occur during evenings or other non-traditional hours to support scheduled committee meetings and community activities. This position is on-site.
Compensation
The position will be compensated at $20.00 per hour and is limited to approximately 4-12 hours per week based on operational needs.
