Job TitleJob DescriptionKey responsibilities include:Lifting baggage, boxes, or cargo weighing up to 70 lbs. throughout your shiftMay require lifting over 100 items for a single aircraftPushing/pulling loaded and empty carts during loading/unloading operationsAscending/descending jet-way stairs while carrying baggageBending/stooping and crawling to move and stack/unstack cargo in aircraftDriving ground equipment such as tugs to help the plane push in/out of the gate, belt loaders to help load baggage, and bag carts to deliver baggageCleaning of the interior of the aircraft, clean and service aircraft lavatoriesReading and interpreting aircraft load sheets, checked baggage tags, and cargo labelsPrepping and securing the aircraft for the next flightEnsuring compliance with United and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and policiesUsing radio electronic devices to communicate with co-workers or flight crewWorking outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditionsQualifications and minimum requirements include:Must be at least 18 years oldMust possess a valid state-issued driver's license with acceptable driving recordMust acquire and maintain credentials vital for the position including fingerprint clearance, local airport badging, and background checkSuccessful completion of pre-employment process which may include but not be limited to; drug screen, hearing and vision checkAvailable to work any shift; day or night, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational needComfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and new technologiesMust be able to use radio electronic devices to communicate with co-workers or flight crewMust be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English languageMust be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 70 lbs.Able to perform a variety of physical activities including ushing, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spacesAuthorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipMust possess and maintain a valid US state driver's license.
