Job Description | Dispatcher Title | Dispatcher Location | Haverhill, MA Department | Operations Reports To | Facility Manager or other designated site personnel Overview Dispatchers are responsible for scheduling delivery routes, monitoring deliveries, and communicating with the couriers while delivering our products to customers and pharmacy personnel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Understanding and following SOFIE's procedures with regarding to radiation safety and delivering radioactive drugs to customers. • Assist in packaging products for delivery, unpacking, and checking canisters. • Ability to lift 50lbs. • Frequent standing, lifting, grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking. • Complete paperwork, DOT and data entry accurately and completely and understand the importance of detail and accuracy. • Checking internal couriers during dose deliveries. • Auditing external couriers' compliance with DOT regulations and SOFIE policies. • Effective communication with the external courier companies. • Tracking dose delivery to the destination and providing accurate and timely ETA updates to pharmacy personnel. • Ensure that fleet vehicles are properly maintained, all repairs are completed and provide a monthly report to the Site Manager and Fleet & Logistics Manager. • Work closely and communicates (both verbal and written) with all departments: production, pharmacy and logistics. • Flexible and has the ability to adapt to change and adjust schedules, runs, etc due to change in production runs, inclement weather, personnel shortages, etc. • Follow up with drivers on deliveries. • May be responsible for taking deliveries if operational need arises. • May be responsible for serving as the back up to the Courier Supervisor when he/she is unavailable. • Maintains assigned reports including monthly trip reports, weekly late dose reports, mileage, and maintenance reports, etc. • Accurate and detailed reporting of incidents (personnel, accidents, customer service during shift) to the site manager. Qualifications • Qualified applicants will be able to demonstrate safe/efficient driving skills. • Candidates must be proficient in English and possess good communication skills. • Ability to adhere to and enforce all security procedures. • Must be able to pass a background check and substance abuse screen. • Must be able to work various shifts, starting early AM including weekends and holidays. • 2-3 years of driving experience throughout the tri-state areas. • Clean drivers' license. • Ability to record, transmit, and report information accurately. • Ability to work calmly and effectively under stress, experience in problem solving and strong customer service skills. • Basic knowledge of MS Office, ability to write simple correspondence, data entry, and email, as well as basic computer skills including MapQuest and Emails. Skills and Abilities • Dependable. • Detail oriented. • Knowledge of shipping and handling requirements. • Punctual. • Able to find locations based on address using GPS.
