We invite you to join our Finance Team as an Accounting Technician, supporting essential accounts receivable functions that help keep Town operations running smoothly. We are looking for a dependable professional with strong accounting skills who can manage a high volume of detailed work, maintain accurate records, adapt to changing priorities, and provide excellent service to both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, personal accountability, professionalism, and a collaborative approach to their work.
Examples of Duties
- Review daily cash receipt postings for accuracy, proper documentation, and correct general ledger coding. Record daily cash and ACH receipts for all Town departments.
- Prepare wire transfers, transfers, and ACH transactions for various financial activities.
- Maintain and manage accounts receivable records, monitor outstanding balances, track collections, and record receipts.
- Prepare and distribute customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner. Coordinate semi-annual special assessment billing and the annual delinquent property auction process.
- Record monthly investment revenues.
- Prepare all journal entries required for the month-end close.
- Perform bank reconciliations for most Town bank accounts.
- Communicate with Town departments and external agencies regarding accounts receivable matters and related transactions.

Typical Qualification
High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in general clerical/technical level accounting.
Associate degree or professional certification preferred.

The Town's complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high performance culture. The Town package includes a health, dental, and vision insurance plan, participation in the state retirement system, optional 457 deferred compensation with a town match up to 6%, vacation, holidays, and additional comprehensive benefits.
The expected hiring range is $23.49-$25.14
The full hourly range is $23.49-$35.24
Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.
