Overnight Loss Prevention Officer

Serving resort guests, club members, residents, and visitors, Horseshoe Bay Resort offers a dynamic environment dedicated to exceptional hospitality and guest experiences.
The Overnight Loss Prevention Officer plays a critical role in protecting guests, associates, members, and resort property during overnight hours. This position is responsible for conducting patrols, monitoring security systems, responding to incidents and emergencies, and maintaining a safe and secure environment throughout the resort.
The Overnight Loss Prevention Officer helps protect a diverse resort environment, including guest accommodations, recreational facilities, restaurants, marina operations, event spaces, parking areas, and common areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine patrols throughout the resort property to identify and address security or safety concerns.
- Monitor surveillance systems and serve as the central communication point for overnight operations.
- Respond to medical emergencies, security incidents, safety hazards, and guest or associate assistance requests.
- Provide first aid and CPR when necessary and coordinate with EMS, fire, or law enforcement personnel.
- Investigate incidents and complete accurate, detailed reports.
- Perform safety inspections of fire exits, lighting, alarms, and security equipment.
- Respond to incidents across resort facilities, including lodging areas, recreational amenities, marina operations, event spaces, parking areas, and common spaces.
- Maintain key control procedures and process lost-and-found items.
- Complete required administrative duties, including report filing and data entry.
- Enforce resort policies and procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Texas Private Security License.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours.
Preferred
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, emergency response, or a related field.
- Experience working in hospitality, resort, residential, or large-property environments.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
- Ability to patrol large areas of the resort property and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Ability to lift to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Must wear slip-resistant, closed-toe footwear.
