Summary

Dispatcher

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating field operations by scheduling and assigning work to technicians, monitoring job progress, responding to customer requests, and ensuring efficient service delivery. This role serves as the central communication point between customers, field personnel, and internal support teams to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.

Schedule and dispatch technicians to service calls, installations, or work orders.

Monitor daily workloads and adjust schedules as priorities change.

Coordinate with field personnel, project managers, and support teams to ensure efficient resource utilization.

Communicate with customers regarding appointment status, delays, and service updates.

Track job progress and ensure timely completion of assigned work.

Escalate urgent issues and coordinate resolutions when service disruptions occur.

Maintain accurate records, dispatch logs, and work order documentation.

Review and update service management systems and dispatch tools.

Assist with quality assurance activities, reporting, and operational data tracking.

Provide clear shift handoffs and maintain effective communication across the dispatch team.

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.

Experience in dispatching, scheduling, customer service, or operations coordination.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Experience using work order management, scheduling, or dispatch systems.

Ability to analyze situations, solve problems, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing demands.

Knowledge of field service operations.

Experience coordinating multiple technicians across geographic regions.

Data analysis and reporting capabilities.

Customer service and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Fast-paced environment with frequent schedule changes.

Regular interaction with customers, technicians, and management.

May require shift work, after-hours support, or weekend coverage depending on business needs.
