THE POSITION

Cultural Affairs Analyst

*This vacancy is in the Office of Economic and Cultural Development (Cultural Affairs)

The following tasks are essential for this position. Incumbents in this classification may not perform all of these tasks, or may perform similar related tasks not listed here.

Management Analyst - Office of Economic and Cultural Development (Cultural Affairs)

Certain duties of the position will be adjusted to align with the incumbent’s education and experience which are anticipated to be more focused toward either the visual or the performing arts. Duties of the position include or may include:

Minimum Requirements:

Training and Experience: Any combination equivalent to training and experience that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be: a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration and two (2) years professional administrative work in a local government.

License and Certificates: Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license may be required if assigned to drive.

Schedule: This position may be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays to support programs, events, and departmental activities.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES

Only the most qualified candidates will be invited to advance to the next stage in the recruitment process, which will consist of a qualifying supplemental questionnaire and an oral appraisal interview. Candidates who are not invited to the next stage will be deferred and may receive future consideration. The oral appraisal interview is tentatively scheduled for the week of September 28, 2026.
