Law Enforcement Records Specialist II to play a vital role in our criminal justice system. This isn’t just data entry - it's the critical link ensuring accurate information flows seamlessly between courts, agencies, and corrections. You will be the guardian of official records, contributing directly to public safety and upholding the integrity of our legal processes.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Do:- Manage sensitive inmate tracking data with precision.
- Facilitate essential communication with judicial partners.
- Ensure timely and accurate updates to key systems like JMS & RMS/NCIC.
- Uphold strict confidentiality protocols while supporting vital operations.

Standard work hours are Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:00 am - 6:00 PM on weekends and holidays as determined by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS: *Must be a U.S. Citizen
*Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
*High School Diploma or GED required.
*Obtains and maintains NCIC certification within six (6) months of assignment.
*Honorably discharged from the military (if applicable).
*Have no pending cases or criminal felony convictions (misdemeanors may require expungement).
*No THC or Marijuana use within 365 days; some drugs are automatic disqualifiers.
*No student loans in default status.
*Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft 365.
*The Nelson-Denny Reading Test, a two-phase background investigation, a credit check, a psychological examination/evaluation, a polygraph examination, an oral interview, and upon an offer of employment, a pre-employment physical examination will be required.
*Must be able to assist disaster response teams in the event of a natural disaster as necessary.
*Must possess a valid SC Driver’s license or ability to obtain one prior to hire and meet the requirements of the County’s motor vehicle policy.
