About Our Opportunity

The Parks Department is hiring a temporary, non-exempt Parks Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position will perform multiple skilled trades to include landscaping, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and other technical trades associated in the repair and maintenance of multiple County owned Parks and Recreation facilities.

Projected Salary/Grade 109: $18.69
Work Schedule: This is a seasonal position that includes weekends and holidays, hours are not guaranteed and are assigned as needed. Position is expected to last approximately six months.

Temporary employees: An employee who understands that he/she is hired for a limited period of time not to exceed six (6) calendar months, by agreement with the county and is not entitled to any county benefits. Annual Leave:Temporary employees do not accrue annual leave.
Sick Leave:Temporary employees will not accrue sick leave time.
Training:Quality training and educational programs are available at various times for county employees in order to support workforce development that is consistent with organizational objectives. Training topics may include driver training, CPR/first aid, communication, supervisor training, workplace violence, substance abuse, and various computer related classes.
