AttorneyMunicipal Associate – Los AngelesBurke, Williams & Sorensen is a full‑service law firm with deep expertise in public law and municipal representation, advising cities, counties, special districts, and other public agencies throughout California.We are seeking an associate with a minimum of 5–7 years of transactional municipal experience to join our expanding public law team. The ideal candidate will have:Significant experience advising public‑agency clients on transactional mattersExcellent writing, research, drafting, and analytical skillsA strong work ethic, self‑starter, and team‑oriented mindsetAbility to manage matters independently and interface directly with public officials and staffAdmission to the State Bar of CaliforniaResponsibilitiesDraft and negotiate public works contracts, professional services agreements, development agreements, joint powers agreements, and other municipal transactional documentsAdvise public‑agency clients regarding compliance with public contracting requirements, open‑meeting laws, conflict‑of‑interest regulations, and related statutory frameworksPrepare staff reports, resolutions, ordinances, and related agenda materialsAttend and present at city council, board, and commission meetings as neededAssist with procurement processes, including drafting and reviewing RFPs and bid documentsCollaborate with colleagues across practice areas on matters involving land use, real estate, infrastructure, and regulatory complianceCompensation and BenefitsThe anticipated base salary range for this full‑time role is $170,000 – $206,000 plus annual performance‑based bonuses.
