Job Description
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for individuals who has done strategic level of negotiations for computer infrastructures with significant amount of savings (in the millions of dollars) and contract experience.
WHAT ARE THE DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES?
Perform sourcing, negotiation, supplier selection and contract review within assigned supplier and commodity categories. Develop sourcing strategy and identify cost saving opportunities. Initiate and drive the opportunities to realize cost savings without compromising quality and level of service. Manage supplier relationship and improve supplier performance. Administer supplier contracts and maintain associated documentations and reports.
Qualifications
WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or similar certification is a plus.
- Recent experience with Oracle 11i Purchasing Module or similar ERP system is required.
- 5+ years in Purchasing and Contract Negotiation. Experienced with developing request for proposals, soliciting bids, performing bid analysis, contract negotiation and contract review.
- A proven track record for achieving cost savings is desirable.
- Specialization in computer hardware, software and professional services commodity category is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and verbal and written communications.
- Proficient in MS Office software.
- A strong candidate is someone experienced in "indirect" (or Maintenance Repair and Operations MRO) purchasing with deep experience negotiating costs and contracts with mainframe, computer hardware and software suppliers preferable in a data center environment. We like to see a track record of cost saving achievements in the candidate's recent work experience.
