SIU Investigator (Part-Time)

Summary

Position OverviewWe currently have opportunities for experienced, self‑determined, and highly motivated Part‑Time SIU INVESTIGATORS that would like to join our team in our efforts to deter and combat insurance fraud. These are work‑from‑home or on‑site positions, requiring travel within the advertised city and state.RoleConduct multi‑line insurance investigations suspected of insurance fraud or other irregularities. Obtain in‑person interviews, identify, collect, and preserve relevant evidence, and document findings into clear, concise, and timely investigative reports. Investigate auto, property, Workers' Compensation, and liability claims of varying complexity. Coordinate with law enforcement or state fraud bureaus for regulatory compliance and criminal prosecutions.QualificationsThe successful candidate will have related experience in one or more of the following areas:Private Investigator / SIU InvestigatorClaims AdjusterLaw EnforcementMilitary Police / CIDOther related investigative fieldsCore duties and responsibilities include:Investigate multiple insurance lines of business for potential fraudConduct phone or in‑person recorded statements with insureds, claimants, and witnessesProvide daily updates regarding current filesConduct scene investigationsObtain investigative photographsMaintain and report investigative expensesComplete detailed and accurate investigative reportsApplicants must meet the following requirements:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to analyze information, develop logical questions, and accurately report findingsProficiency in Microsoft Office programsExcellent time‑management skillsCustomer‑service focusStrong desire to learn and work as a teamWillingness to travelValid driver's license and MVRCurrent Private Investigator license may be required in some statesMust pass a drug test and pre‑employment testingUpon hiring, paid formal training is providedBenefitsVRC provides investigators with necessary equipment and comparable pay to include drive time, above‑normal commute mileage reimbursement, company‑paid licensing fees in most states, and allowance for non‑reimbursed business expenses.
