Oatey offers a 12-week summer internship that will expose you to meaningful work and exceed your expectations. It is unique with one-on-one mentorship, developmental feedback and coaching, lunch series, engaging networking events and weekly forums. You will work closely with experts to develop your skills and gain valuable insight in your chosen career field. Additionally, you will have exposure to all leadership levels of Oatey. Lastly, you'll have a great time networking with other interns and forge lasting relationships.Oatey offers a vigorous program that includes:Learning and DevelopmentPeer MentoringChallenging Team ProjectsCommunity InvolvementGlobal Sourcing Intern Position SummaryThe Global Sourcing Intern will work directly with Sourcing personnel at all levels within Oatey's org structure. Time will be divided between Direct Sourcing and Indirect Sourcing activities and projects. While working in this role the individual will be expected to communicate effectively in person, through email and over the phone, interacting with suppliers as well as internal stakeholders. The position is designed to support negotiations, supplier management and cost savings projects. These activities will provide exposure to all functional departments within Oatey and give the individual a thorough overview of the Sourcing function.Expectations & Accountabilities…Support administrative tasks including, but not limited to, New Item Set‑up Sheets, Quality Feedback management, Trade Agreements updates, Purchase requisition support and Purchase Order creationCollect and analyze spend data that will be used to help Sourcing improve reportingOrganize data for Direct and Indirect RFQ projectsReview Direct and Indirect Sourcing processes and recommend opportunities for improvementOther duties as assignedWhat you'll need to be successful…Education and Certification: Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain, Operations, Business or related fieldStrong analytical skillsHigh competency level with the Microsoft Office suite of productsExcellent written and oral communication skillsDemonstrated high initiativeCompensation Range for the Position:$20.00 USDHourlyTarget Cash Profit Sharing for the Position:N/AOffer amount determined by experience and review of internal talent.The Oatey family of companies are an equal opportunity employer committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
