Salary :
Housing Rehabilitation Specialist I-C: $23.51- $29.98
Housing Rehabilitation Specialist II-C: $24.84- $31.67
Housing Rehabilitation Specialist III-C: $26.22- $33.435
Performs technical work involving preparation of Scope of Work write-ups, including specifications and cost estimates for the rehabilitation of structures under the City of Orlando's Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) housing programs. Coordinates and provides oversight of Capital Projects implemented under the City’s HCD housing programs and by community organizations that utilize City funding. Work is performed under the general supervision of the HCD Program Manager and reviewed through observation, consultation, and reports submitted.
Minimum Qualifications :
Housing Rehabilitation Specialist I-C : Associate's Degree plus six (6) months experience in residential building construction, including cost estimating and scope of work preparation required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Must pass background check which includes polygraph. Must be able to obtain International Code Council (ICC) certification as a Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector within six (6) months of employment.

Valid Florida Driver's License required. Must pass background check which includes polygraph. Must be able to obtain International Code Council (ICC) certification as a Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector within six (6) months of employment.
Housing Rehabilitation Specialist III-C : Associate's Degree plus four (4) years experience in residential building construction, including cost estimating and scope of work preparation required; or a combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Certification through the International Code Council (ICC) as a Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector required. Must pass background check which includes polygraph.
Preferences: Experience in residential construction rehabilitation cost estimating and in preparing scopes of work for residential construction rehabilitation
This is a full-time CONTRACT position with the same benefits as Regular full-time. Most contracts are renewable for terms of one year.

- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
