Position Overview

Marc Security Services LLC is seeking a professional and reliable Unarmed Security Officer to staff a campus front entrance. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and controlled access point for staff, visitors, and vendors.

The officer will be stationed at a guard building equipped with a gate system, computer, and phone, and will be responsible for monitoring and controlling entry to the campus.
Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access at the campus entrance gate
• Check in and verify visitors, vendors, and deliveries
• Maintain accurate visitor logs using a computer system
• Answer and manage incoming phone calls professionally
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security concerns
• Ensure all individuals entering the property are authorized
• Provide excellent customer service while enforcing site rules

Requirements

• Valid Florida Class D Security License
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift
• Reliable transportation and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous gatehouse or access control experience
• Experience working in a campus, residential, or corporate environment

Work Environment

• Stationed at a guard building at the front entrance
• Interaction with staff, vendors, and visitors throughout the day
• Use of gate arms and access control systems

Compensation

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in security or law enforcement.
- Proven track record of handling firearms safely and effectively.

- Excellent observational and situational awareness skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Proficient in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must possess a valid firearms license and certification.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform security duties effectively.
