Facilitates use of the campus by opening, closing and monitoring control of NSU property. Investigates campus incidents and occurrences. Detects and responds to safety hazards. 2. Provides physical inspections and investigations on campus. 3. Conducts security and safety audits. 4. Conducts accident and injury investigations on campus. 5. Completes activity logs and incident reports. 6. Coordinates with local law enforcement concerning the investigation of incidents, crimes, and losses. 7. Conducts fire system inspections and emergency response drills. 8. Provides for locking and unlocking access control for campus buildings. 9. Performs other duties as assigned or required.Job Requirements:Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Excellent written and oral communication skills. 2. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. 3. Ability to multitask. 4. Basic computer literacy. 5. Conflict management skills. 6. Ability to maintain confidential information. 7. Ability to work under pressure. 8. Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful situations. 9. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. 10. Ability to communicate effectively with others. 11. Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels.Physical Requirements / Working Conditions: 1. May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of bending, climbing, sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties up to 8 hours. 2. May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils and computer keyboards. 3. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. 4. Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.Required Certifications/Licensures:Have or obtain current and valid Florida Drivers License.Required Education:High School Diploma or EquivalentMajor (if required):Required Experience:Previous customer service experience.Preferred Qualifications:Parking enforcement specialist certification. Previous customer service, public safety, security, or police experience.
