Summary

ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Patrol Sergeant, the Reserve Patrol Deputy performs a variety of full‑performance, working‑level law‑enforcement and non‑law‑enforcement duties. The deputy responds to life‑ and property‑threatening calls, enforces federal, state, and county ordinances to protect life, health, safety, welfare, and property, maintains peace and order for the general public, and serves civil process for both criminal and non‑criminal cases.The Reserve Patrol Deputy participates in required training to maintain certification and is available for special event assignments such as community concerts and bike races.QualificationsMust be 21 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, be POST certified or certifiable, and have advanced training in investigations, evidence collection, narcotics, death investigations, and other related areas.Pay and BenefitsThis position is non‑exempt and hourly.
